Aloe Vera gel has been used from ancient times for skin care and here in our village it is extensively used for skin care. We use it for treating burns, acne and for all kinds of inflammation. We have plenty of Aloe Vera plants growing in our farm and whenever we want we cut a leaf, extract the fresh gel and use it for remedies.
Though we get many ready made Aloe Vera gel in the markets, I would suggest using fresh homemade Aloe Vera gel for best results. I do use store bought Aloe Vera gel but only for making creams as it has longer shelf life and it also gives perfect consistency to homemade creams.
